The annual Blowing Rock Plein Air Festival welcomes 60 nationally and regionally recognized artists to paint familiar mountain views, architecture and streetscapes around the area. Visitors can meet the artists and view or purchase original paintings created during the festival. Admission is free, and timed-entry reservations are available. The week culminates with the Plein Air Show & Sale at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum on Saturday, September 19 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
