Remember, reflect, and rejoice at a Hurricane Helene Commemoration Ceremony on September 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., organized by the Village of Chimney Rock and the Town of Lake Lure. Participants will gather at The Gazebo at Morse Park to honor, recognize, and remember, acknowledging the many milestones that have been achieved since Hurricane Helene devastated the community. 

Participate in a series of events scheduled throughout Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village on September 27, 2025:

  • 11:00 a.m. - Commemorative Ceremony (Morse Park in Lake Lure)
  • 1:00 p.m. - Symbolic Ribbon Cutting Honoring the Towns & Businesses in the Hickory Nut Gorge (Walkway in front of Lake Lure Beach)
  • 2:00 p.m. - Presentation Honoring Spokes of Hope & Sharing the Future of Chimney Rock Village (Main Street Chimney Rock Village)
  • 4:00 p.m. - One-Mile Round Trip, Strenuous Hike to a Stunning View of the Hickory Nut Gorge (Chimney Rock Village Boulders Trail)
