Community Remembrance

-

Anniversaries of traumatic events can stir up powerful emotions, sometimes unexpectedly. Mental health struggles, stress, anxiety, and even relapses in substance abuse are common during this time. Resources for Resilience is offering a series of trainings and workshops for WNC residents who are interested in community connection, practical tools, simple strategies and research-backed resources to help with the overwhelm and stress they may feel in response to Helene’s anniversary.

Join the "Community Remembrance" event offered by Resources for Resilience on September 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Swannanoa Public Library. On the anniversary month of Helene, join this 2-hour session offering learning and community connection where you’ll gain practical tools to manage stress and support friends and neighbors through hard times. This is one of a series of similar events being offered between September 23-26, 2025 in western North Carolina.
