The Annual Mountain Monarch Festival will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Gorges State Park in Sapphire, NC. This free event celebrates the monarch butterfly’s migration and highlights the species declining numbers. It will feature children’s activities, crafts, exhibits, food and beverages, educational presentations for all ages, and live butterflies!
This event is FREE and open to the public.
The festival will be held rain or shine. It is also first-come, first-served.
