Renew NC Community Infrastructure Program

The Renew NC Community Infrastructure Program is a competitive grant program that provides funding for infrastructure projects, linked to Hurricane Helene’s impacts or mitigation that will help impacted communities in western North Carolina become more resilient to current and future natural hazards.  

  • Eligible applicants: local governments  
  • Award range: $500,000 to $15 million per project

Applications are open now through September 8, 2026 for Round 1. Prescreening is strongly encouraged, but not required, prior to submitting an application.
